Final Choice Images.

At this stage no hanging order has been decided upon. There are some further images to be obtained now the weather is changing. The final three marks the boarders of the study area and are designed to show the undisturbed wilderness. A fourth, ocean beach scene will be added to complete the collection, again to be captured now the weather is changing. Total 14/15x structure images. 4x wilderness traditional landscape images. Trying to stay true to my style of traditional landscape but with the contemporary feel, ie including both wilderness and structure.

Title

Wilderness Disrupted: The intersection of man made landscape intrusion and the tourist wilderness experience.

Brief Abstract

Wilderness Disrupted is a photographic study that considers the juxtaposition of the wilderness environment with man-made infrastructures tailored for tourist comfort. The exhibition photographs illustrate the transformative impact of man-made infrastructures on the natural world, asking the questions: is the tourist seeking the wilderness experience seeing this intrusion? and with the presence of such infrastructure is the tourist denied a complete and authentic wilderness experience?

The exhibition comprises imagery captured within the north west region of Tasmania (lutruwita)focusing on Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park (wulinantikala and leeawuleena)as the central location.
